The driver of a moped was injured when he lost control while riding south on Midway Road just north of the Cherokee Road intersection Thursday. He ran into a metal post at the entrance of a drive way destroying the moped. Ray Lollis, a volunteer firefighter with Piercetown Station 13 was first on the scene and comforted the injured man until members of the EMS arrived to transport him the to the hospital.
