Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated the following incidents:

PELZER

March 31 – J.L. Martin responded to The Blue Jean Place on Highway 20 in Pelzer, where owner Henry Kelly stated that someone had climbed on top of the building and stolen approximately 150 feet of copper cable running to the air conditioning unit. The loss was estimated at $400. Martin also investigated an identical complaint from Jonathan Hodges, of the Pelzer Church of God at 205 Highway 20. Again, 150 feet of copper cable was stolen. The loss was estimated at $200.

April 1 – G.M. Guthrie responded to Bracken Motors at 101 Murray St. where Marlon Bracken reported the theft of four chrome rims and some scrap metal from the site. The loss was estimated at $400.

April 1- G. M. Guthrie responded to 171 Garrett Rd. where Gregory Darnell reported that he was in his house when he heard a heavy chain being moved around outside. He stepped out onto his deck and saw two men making off with his generator, which had been chained to the deck. The two men fled through the woods and Darnell recovered his generator.

April 1 – R.M. Cooper responded to the Hickory Point where Casey Putnam reported that a customer had used a counterfeit $100 bill to purchase approximately $7 worth of merchandise.

PIEDMONT

March 30 – J.D. Sparkman was dispatched to 112 Claire Dr. to the Bradley Construction Co. where Terry Bradley reported the theft of six ladders and a gutter machine bolted to a trailer. The loss was estimated at $13,500.

March 30 – J.D. Sparkman responded to 1107 Tall Oaks Circle to a threat of self-injury from Christopher Kimball, WM, 24, 5’9″, 135 pounds. Kimball said he was not intending to hurt himself but only said so during an argument with his wife. However, a records check showed that Kimball was wanted on a warrant by the Easley Police Department and he was taken into custody and transferred to Easley’s custody.

March 30 – R.D. Smith was dispatched to 5 Archie St. where Dale Barth reported the second burglary of his home in two weeks. This time, items valued at approximately $600 were taken.

March 30 – R.D. Smith responded to R.D. Garrett Housing at 134 Bagwell Rd. where Robert Garrett reported the theft of an air conditioning unit at his workshop. The loss was estimated at $5000.

March 30 – K.F. Brock was assisting a U.S. Marshal in arresting Ronez Cobb, BM, 23, 5’6″, 220 pounds when a quantity of marijuana was discovered.

March 31 – J.D. Sparkman responded to 101 Windtree Lane where Renee Brock reported that someone had broken into her vehicle and stolen $640 in cash from the console.

WILLIAMSTON

March 31 – R.D. Smith was dispatched to 1915 Welcome Road where Michael Perry reported the theft of a Husqvarna weed eater valued at $200.

March 31 – R.M. Cooper responded to 146 G St. where Denis Denisysk reported that his son, Oleg, WM, 23, 6’, 155 pounds, brn/blue was missing.

April 1 – J.D. Sparkman investigated three cases of auto breaking on Keone Circle. Robert Shuler, Barry Hardy, and Paula Threlkeld all reported that their vehicles were broken into and items totaling $1700 had been stolen.
