There will be a benefit fundraiser for Tammy Harmon Anthony on April 14 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Pelzer Gym. The benefit will include hot dog plates, bake sale, silent auction, Carolina Girl T shirts, trackless train and inflatables. There will be live music from a variety of performers including Catlin Tierce.
Anthony was diagnosed with colon cancer August 19, 2011. Since then she has endured chemo, radiation and surgery. In February of this year her doctors told her the cancer is now in her liver and she must continue with treatments.
“Tammy is truly loved by the many people she inspires with her love for others, her strength and her wisdom, but she is most inspirational to all because of her love for her family and for the Lord,” a family spokesperson said. “This fundraiser will be a time for us to show our love and support for Tammy.
Tammy and her husband Don have two children, Ross, 22, and Katie, 19. She is the daughter of Jim and Shirley Harmon of Pelzer.
All proceeds will go directly to the Anthony family to help with medical expenses.
