Deputies investigate three murders in one weekend

Anderson County Sheriff’s deputies and investigators are investigating three separate murders that occurred over the weekend.

On Friday, March 30, 76 year old Claude Schaffer Scott was found in the doorway of his residence at 328 Echo Circle in Anderson. A next door neighbor called the ACSO and also reported that the suspect, John Fitzgerald Kennedy, BM, 47 years old, had left in Scott’s vehicle.

Scott later died from the injuries suffered during the beating. Kennedy is currently being held on a charge of murder and grand larceny.

Also shot and killed on Friday was Kendrick A. McDowell, a twenty two year old black male, who was shot in apartment 210 at 100 Duvall Way in Anderson. He was transported to the hospital by unknown means and was later declared dead at the AnMed emergency room. No arrests have been made in that case at this time.

Antonio Jamauldin Adger, a 21 year old black male, from Anderson, was shot once in the chest in the men’s room of Club Exstacy early Saturday morning. He later was pronounced dead at the AnMed emergency room. No arrests have been made in that case at this time.
