Williamston Police officers investigated the following incidents:

April 16 – Stanley K. Partain, 50, 25 Williams St., Williamston reported a broken window. Damage was estimated at $150. Sgt. D. W. Bryant, L. E. Mulz investigated.

April 13 – John Davarinos, 307 E. Main St., Williamston reported a $5 bill given to him for good luck was missing from behind the menu board. D. M. Stipe investigated.

April 14 – Williamston officers assisted Anderson County Sheriff’ Deputies in a vehicle pursuit by blocking traffic at the intersection of Greenville Drive and Tripp St. and Greenville Drive and North Hamilton. The vehicle, which was registered to a Williamston address, continued on Hwy. 20 into Williamston and turned onto West Carolina St., where Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Steven Xavier Williams, 20, 302 Trail Court, Anderson. B. C. Kelley, Constable J. Smith assisted.

Apr. 7 – Louise Fields Boyce, 68, 6 Burts St., Pelzer reported a washer and dryer and fireplace accessories removed from the residence at 108 River Dr., Williamston. The items were valued at $1430. Sgt. K. J. Winn investigated.

Apr. 12 – Dane E. Cooley, 47, 30 Smith St., Pelzer was arrested for possession of schedule IV narcotic, simple possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence after a vehicle was involved in an accident on South Hamilton St. L. E. Mulz investigated.
