Voters reminded to verify district changes

In house absentee voting will begin Tuesday, May 29. Before casting their ballots, voters are encouraged to verify their districts since the Senate, House and County Council members have redrawn their district lines due to the 2010 Census. Voters can visit www.scvotes.org to verify their registration information and voting districts or contact their local Voter Registration offices.

Anderson County Registered voters, who qualify, and intend to cast absentee ballot in-person for the June 12, Republican and Democratic Primary may do so beginning on Tuesday, May 29. In-person Absentee Voting will be conducted Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. in Room 105 and will conclude on Monday, June 11 at 5 p.m. The Voter Registration Office is located in the old Bailes Building, directly behind the Historic Courthouse,107 South Main Street. Voters who plan to cast an Absentee Ballot in-person must bring a form of identification. The acceptable forms are a S.C. Driver’s license, a photo i.d. issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles or their Voter Registration Card. Voters must complete the Absentee Application and check the reason why they must vote absentee.
