The Williamston Town Council held a special called meeting Thursday, June 21 to transfer $230,000 from the current budget to the 2012-2013 budget. The move was made necessary because the proposed paving of the parking lot behind the Town Hall and the paving in the Mineral Spring Park, which were budgeted for this fiscal year, won’t be finished or paid for until next fiscal year.
Those two contracts were awarded to Bishop May Grading Contractors, of Greer for the parking lot, and Panagakos Paving Company from Greenville, for the park.
