During their meeting Friday, Pelzer Town Council entertained a proposal from a resident who wants to buy town property located on the river and agreed to begin accepting credit card payments. They also briefly discussed a cell tower proposal, contract with REWA and the Pelzer pool closing several days due to bad weather.
A problem with flooding of the basement of Pelzer Methodist Church was also brought to council.
At the start of the meeting, Cheryl Boudreau was sworn in to council and councilmember Donna Ide was elected Mayor Pro Tem.
