Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated a dog bite and several thefts. Among incidents investigated were: EASLEY –  July 22 – R.D. Smith responded to the Spinx Gas Station at 3601 Hwy. 153 where the store manager presented a $100 bill believed to be counterfeit. The bill was taken into evidence.

July 22 – C.M. Turner received a call from Scott Mackey of 1006 Shiloh Circle who reported the theft of his 5’X10’ black utility trailer, valued at $800.

July 22 – J.T. Hunt was dispatched to 1120 Windermere Court in response to a reported dog bite. Barbara Vallely, WF, 70, reported that she was walking her dog when a dog belonging to Joel Copeland, WM, 6’1″, 145 pounds, came out and attacked her and her dog. She went to St. Francis Hospital for treatment. Copeland received tickets for letting his dog run at large and no proof of rabies shots. The dog was taken into custody and put on a hold for rabies check.

July 23 – J.T. Bowers responded to 102 Hidden Creek Dr. where Daniel Cameron reported that someone had entered his vehicle and gone through the glove compartment. Nothing was stolen except the owner’s manual.

PELZER

July 21 – R.D. Smith responded to the Shell Gas Station at 1712 Hwy. 8 where Terra Alexander reported that a WF, 20/25 years old, 5’4″, 120 pounds had stolen two SC road maps and fled in a white SUV bearing SC tag # GVM174. That tag is registered to a person in Greenville.

July 22 – K.S. Looney responded to an alarm at the Enel power station at 101 Lebby St. where Joshua Cothran reported that someone had pried the door open on the building where tools and chemicals were stored.

July 22 – R.D. Smith responded to 735 Bryant Rd. where Ronnie Cleveland reported the theft of a Dewalt tool set, A Milwaukee saw and a Kawasaki 2200 four wheeler. The loss was estimated at $1300.

July 22 – C.P. Huff was dispatched to 871 Bryant Rd. where David Evans reported the theft of his four wheeler, which he later found abandoned nearby.

July 22 – C. Martin responded to 851 Bryant Rd. where Michelle Shockley reported the theft of two bicycles valued at $220.

July 23 – P.D. Marter responded to 360 Old Brickyard Rd. where Mark Hiscott reported the theft of the date and month stickers from his vehicle tag.

PIEDMONT

July 21 – C.P. Huff responded to 1210 Durham Rd. where Roger Frady reported that his vehicles had been broken into and a laptop, a purse and various other items were stolen. The loss was estimated at $3400.

July 21 – C.P. Huff was dispatched to 127 Wren Rd. Lot 4 where Zachary Raymer reported the theft of the GPS from his vehicle. The loss was estimated at $110.

July 21 – R.D. Smith responded to 327 Trotter Rd. where William Morris reported that someone had entered and rifled his truck, but had taken nothing.

July 23- E.E. Standard was dispatched to Childers Circle and River Rd. where Bradley Batson reported the theft of a construction trailer and pipe valued at $3000.

WILLIAMSTON

July 22 – Cpl. K.D. Pigman responded to 107 Sheila Dr. where Wesley Harrison II reported that he had interrupted someone while they were burglarizing his garage. They fled and nothing was taken.

July 23 – Cpl. K.D. Pigman was dispatched to 121 Martin Court where James Porter Jr. reported the theft of his 2012 BMW, which belongs to the BMW Corp. where he works. The loss was estimated at $50,000.

July 22 – C.K. Cowan responded to 5 Ashley Dr. where he placed Orlando Botello on trespass notice.
