Honea Path Idol looking for contestants

Organizers of the Honea Path Merchants Association 4th Annual Honea Path Idol contest are looking for talented individuals or groups that would like to perform in a community event.

The event will take place on Thursday August 16th at 6:30 p.m. on North Main Street in the downtown area. Main Street will be closed to all traffic during and prior to the event. There will be food vendors for those who wish to take a night away from the kitchen duties along with the Little Town Coffee House and Bubba’s Ice Cream Shop for those who like cool delights and adventurous eating.

Applications can be picked up at B&R Books, McCall’s Produce, and on line at honeapathmerchants.com. All Entries must be received prior to close of business August 13th

Trophies, prize money, photo ops for the local newspapers and an invite to perform at the Sugarfoot festival will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.

Awards will be presented at the end of the competition along with photos for local newspapers.
