BILL KILGORE
William D. ‘Bill’ Kilgore, Sr., 77, of Piedmont, died Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca.
Born in Carroll County, GA, son of the late D.M. “Doc” and Pearl Cheatwood Kilgore.
He retired from Dixie Converting in Carrollton, GA and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.
He was a member of Mt. Airy Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Widener Kilgore of the home; two daughters, Melissa Kilgore Nelson of Clemson, and Julie Kilgore Scott of Spartanburg; brother, Jack Douglas Kilgore of Hixon, TN; sister, Barbara K. Rivers of Snellville, GA; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
He was predeceased by his wife, Deborah H. Kilgore.
Memorial services were held Saturday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville.

EVA WATSON
Eva Kay James Watson, 100, formerly of Central died Friday, July 27, 2012 at the Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca.
Born in Lumber City, GA, she was a daughter of the late Luther Perry and Victoria Rebecca Brannon Kay. She was a retired textile employee and was a member of Clemson Church of God.
Surviving are son, Roy T. James of West Union; daughter, Maudine Eva James Tyre of Piedmont; stepson, Corbin Watson of Salem; sister, Eunice Gambrell of Central; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Charlie J. James, and her second husband, Marvin T. Watson.
Funeral services were held Monday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home. Burial followed in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

DOUGLAS MILLER
PELZER – Douglas Haynie Miller, 69, of 38 Lyman Street, widower of Edith Seigler Miller, died Sunday, July 29, 2012, at his home.
Born in Donalds, he was a son of the late Colie and Lizzie Mae McClain Miller.  He retired from the Kendall Company, was a Shriner and a member of the First Baptist Church of Pelzer.
Surviving are daughter, Angela Miller, of Pelzer; son, Christopher Miller and his girlfriend, Brandie, of Pelzer; brothers, Billy Ray Miller, of Donalds, Roger Dale Miller, of Anderson, and Alfred Miller, of Honea Path; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Harold and James Miller.
Visitation was 12:30-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.  Graveside services followed at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the residence.

HAZEL C. WELBORN
Hazel Carolyn Welborn, 93, of Piedmont, died Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Hosanna Health and Rehab.
Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Nell Griffith Welborn. She retired from Umbro International and was a member of Six & Twenty Baptist Church.
Surviving are her brother, J.C. Welborn of Pendleton.
Funeral service was held Saturday at Six & Twenty Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

JOANNE  SCARBOROUGH
Mary Joanne Chapman Scarborough, 76, wife of the Rev. Fred J. C. “Tab” Scarborough, of Belton, died July 27, 2012 at the Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Ware Shoals, she retired from Bi-Lo and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Honea Path.
She is survived by daughters, Robin Wooten and Karen Whitten, both of Pelzer; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and step-father, James R. Hart of Anderson.
Funeral service was held July 30 in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home. Interment followed at New Silver Brook Cemetery.

ETHEL ‘DUCK’ ODOM
WEST PELZER – Ethel Alice “Duck” “Nanny” Lindsey Odom, 87, formerly of 87 Main Street, widow of William Straub Odom, died Sunday, July 29, 2012, at Hosanna Health and Rehab of Piedmont.
Born in Newport, TN, she was a daughter of the late Isaac Allen and Margarite Sue Birdie McMahan Lindsey.  She retired from the Kendall Company, most recently worked at Hickory Point, Pelzer, where she was known as “Nanny,” and was a member of Piedmont Heights Baptist Church.
Surviving are sons, Jimmy Odom, of Easley, Troy Odom (Vickie) of Williamston, Joe Odom (Ann) of the home, and Bill Odom (Becky) of Madison, GA; nieces, Evelyn, Janet and Frances; nephew, Bobby; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was the last of eleven brothers and sisters.
Visitation was 5-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.  Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

MARGIE ANDREWS
Ruth Margie O’Bryant Andrews, 84, formerly of Pelzer, widow of James Wallace “Chester” Andrews, passed away July 30, 2012.
Born in Forsythe County, GA, she was a daughter of the late Jessie Harrison and Zonia Hendrix O’Bryant. She was retired from J.P. Stevens White Horse Plant and a member of Wren Baptist Church.
Surviving are sisters, Virginia Lee of Greenville, Mae Tapp of Florida; brother, W.T. O’Bryant of Greenville.
Graveside services will be held 2:30 pm on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

MAUDE HOLLAND
ANDERSON – Maude Ladd Holland, 92, widow of William Luther Holland, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Williamston, she was a daughter of the late Joseph C. and Mattie Ellis Ladd.  She was retired from Milliken and was a member of the Williamston First Baptist Church.
Surviving are daughter, Sandra H. Poore of Anderson; grandchildren, Angie Teeple, Lisa Cheek, Valerie Garrison; six great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; sister, Lois Holcombe of Hickory Tavern; and brother, Kenneth Ladd of Williamston.
She was predeceased by sisters, Mary Woods and Louise Hutcheson; and brother, Floyd Ladd.
The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2012 in the social hall of the Williamston First Baptist Church with a memorial service immediately following.
A private committal will be held.

BECKY SEAWRIGHT
Becky Spearman Seawright, 62, of Pelzer, wife of Ray Seawright, died on Monday, July 30, 2012.
Born in Pelzer, she was a daughter of the late Haskell David and Clara Bell Bowling Spearman.  She was a member of Piedmont Church of God of Prophecy and a Sunday School teacher.
Surviving are her husband of the home; daughter Jeanne Allen of Easley; sisters, Anne Powers of Lake Hamilton, FL, Margaret Freeman of Greenville; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 am- 12:00 noon Thursday, August 2, at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.
Funeral services will follow at 12:00 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

OPHELIA BREZEALE
Ora Ophelia Brezeale of Pickens died Monday, July 30, 2012.
Born in Polk County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin Wilkins Reid and the late Bessie Whitmire Reid. She was a retired nurse’s aide and was a Baptist.
Surviving are sons Mike Mills of Marietta and Dwight Cash of Greer; and a daughter, Sara Roper of Williamston; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 2 in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.
