Williamston resident and businessman Mike Smith announced this week that he intends to run for the Ward 3 seat on Williamston Town Council. Smith, who owns and operates the Williamston Curb Market on Greenville Drive, said that he would like to be more involved and be a part of more growth and betterment for the town.
Smith, now 63, said he grew up in the local business and eventually purchased it. He said that during his daily activities he interacts with many local folks of Wiliamston and surrounding communities.
“With my public knowledge and understanding of others, I feel I can make a difference. My goal is to be of service to my fellow citizens and strive to see this town be all it has the potential to be,” he said.
“I appreciate your support and look forward to serving you in the near future,” he said.
