Carolee Williams Kinard, 92, died Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Ellenburg Nursing Center.
Born in Williamston, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Jones Williams and Minnie Elizabeth Dill Williams. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are her son, Robert Kinard of Anderson; daughter, Sybil Farmer of Warrenville; six grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Thomas Williams of Anderson.
Graveside service was held August 25 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

WILLIE BENJAMIN
‘BEE’ DRUMMOND
Willie Benjamin “Bee” Drummond, 76, died in Charlotte, NC.
He was a son of the late Willie and Annie Mae Black Drummond, was a member of the Union Baptist Church, retired from UPS and former owner of Drummond’s Trucking and Landscaping Company in Charlotte, NC.
He is survived by four daughters, Elaine Duncan, Ivy Latta of Charlotte, Doris Bolt of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Pamela Lee of Philadelphia, PA; three sons, Billy Drummond, Vince Drummond of Charlotte, NC,  Bobby Chapman of Greensboro, NC; two sisters, Sarah Young of Piedmont, Mildred Madden of Simpsonville; and several grand and great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Aug. 25 at Union Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

COLIE BROWNING
WILLIAMSTON – Colie Welborn Browning, 99, of 103 Lander Street, widow of Baz B. Browning, entered into the presence of her heavenly father on Friday, August 24, 2012 at McCall Hospice House.
Born in Fair Play, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Harvey and Maggie Davis Welborn. She was predeceased by ten siblings.
Surviving are daughter, Carolyn Browning Fowler (widow of Ed Fowler) of Piedmont; granddaughter, Tammy Fowler Jacobs and husband, Tim of Taylors; four special great-grandsons, Travis, Jared, Myles, and Carson Jacobs, all of Taylors.
Visitation was held Sunday, August 26, 2012 from 1:30-3:00 pm at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.
Graveside services followed at 3:15 pm in the Williamston Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Open Arms Hospice at the McCall Hospice House, 1836 West Georgia Rd., Simpsonville, SC 29680.
The family is at the home of Carolyn Fowler, 103 Meadow Green, Piedmont.
The family wishes to express much appreciation to the caring staff of Open Arms Hospice and McCall Hospice House.  Dr. Carey and nurse, Mijina, and many others that contributed to her care are greatly appreciated for the wonderful care that she was given over the past seventeen months.

DOROTHY SUE
BUTLER PORTER
Dorothy “Dot” Butler Porter, 90, died August 23, 2012.
She was born in Greenville and was predeceased by her husband, Doyle Porter; and parents, Madge Grant Butler and Broadus Dewitt Butler.
She is survived by a brother, Roger Butler of Dayton, TN; four children; June Porter Ewell of Monument, CO, Madge Porter Cross of Lexington, NC, Paul Porter of Piedmont, and Grant Porter of Easley; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-gandchild.
She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church in Greenville and was a homemaker.
Funeral services were held Aug. 28 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home. Burial followed in Robinson Memorial Gardens.

LESTER BUELL CULBERTSON
Lester Buell Culbertson, 79, of Greenville, husband of Barbara Jean Johnson Culbertson, died Saturday, August 25, 2012.
Born in Kannapolis, NC, he was a son of the late Homer Reese and Mary P. English Culbertson. He was owner and operator of Lester’s Service Center and Wrecker.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are three sons, Wayne Culbertson, Curtis Culbertson, both of Virginia, and Jody Culbertson of Starr; three daughters, Gail Smith and Carolyn Culbertson, both of Williamston, and Misty Copeland of Simpsonville; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Revis of Powdersville; and brother, Jim Culbertson of Anderson.
Memorial service was held Aug. 27 at the home of Lester and Barbara Culbertson.

FRANK ALBERT LEE
Frank Albert Lee, 86, husband of Dora Faye Clark Lee, of West Union, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012 at Cottingham Hospice House.
A native of Newry, he was the son of the late Homer Jefferson and Cora Whitman Lee. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Holiness Church. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from Greenfield Industries.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Frankie Lee Swafford of Walhalla, Diane Lee Wardlaw of Central, and Becky Lee Simpson of West Union; brother, Johnnie W. Lee of Williamston; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and seven-great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Aug. 24 at Mt. Vernon Holiness Church in Seneca. Burial followed at Oconee Memorial Park, Seneca.

REBA JOAN GRANGER
Reba Joan Granger, 74, of Piedmont, died Sunday, August 26, 2012.
Born in Pickens, she was a daughter of the late William and Lucille Smith Wilson.
She was previously employed by Dow Chemical Company.
She is survived by son, Walt H. Granger; daughter, Teresa Granger; one grandson; and two great-grandsons.
A private service will be held.

MILDRED B. PEGGIE
Mildred Brown Peggie, 82, of Piedmont, died Monday at the McCall Hospice House.
Surviving are her children, Susan Hoffman, Bud Brooks, and Gary Brooks.
Funeral services were held Aug. 29 at Sullivan-King Mortuary, Northeast Chapel.

DELORIS ROLAND
Deloris Mae Roland, 57, of Pelzer, wife of Bruce Ray Roland, died Monday, August 27, 2012 at her home.
Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Thelma Stewart Swan.  She was a member of Daventon Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of the home; son, Charles Bearden, Jr. of Pelzer; daughters, Christy Michelle McClaskey of Pelzer, Misty Danielle Chapman of Liberty; brothers, Michael Taylor of Pelzer, Tommy Taylor of Honea Path; sister, Shirley Martin; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 29 in the funeral home chapel of Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.
Entombment followed in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Travelers Rest.

DAVID CANNON
David Harvey Cannon, 71, of Williamston, husband of Joyce Harris Cannon, died Tuesday, August 28, 2012.
Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late David Howard and Bessie Jennings Cannon.  He was retired from the Michelin Tire Corporation.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Chris Cannon and Wanda Bowers, both of Anderson, Joseph Cannon of Belton, Candy Cannon and Crystal Cannon, both of the home; sisters, Imogene Fowler, Janie Sutherland; brother, Kenneth Cannon; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7-8:30 pm Thursday, August 30 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.
Graveside services will be held 11 am Friday, August 31, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Anderson.

MARIAN COX BROWN WATSON
Marian Cox Brown Watson, 84, of Anderson, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late James Claude and Ethel Bowlan Cox. She was a member of Boulevard Baptist Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Mellie Brown Jones of Starr; two sons, Sid Brown of Anderson and Philip D. Brown of Piedmont; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was the last surviving member of her family. She was twice married, first to the late George S. “Joe” Brown and second to the late William E. Watson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Boulevard Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Flat Rock Cemetery.
