The Williamston Municipal Center (Town Hall) will be closed on Tuesday, September 25. According to Mayor Carthel Crout, Duke Energy workers will have to cut power to the building to replace a main power line coming into the building. The line is being replaced as part of the parking lot upgrade at the facility Crout said.
The water/sewer bill cutoff deadline will be extended one day due to the power interruption, Crout said.
Once the power line is replaced, workers are expected to begin replacing a drainage pipe which has delayed work on the parking lot project.
