The Piedmont Emergency Relief Center recently made changes to their facility to better serve clients.
An open house for the facility is planned for Saturday, Oct. 27 from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Hotdogs will be served. The community is invited and encouraged to stop by and see the new addition.
They have renovated adjacent office space to include a larger waiting room and interview area with private office space and a meeting room. This will allow for additional food storage expansion.
PERC is seeing more and more clients each month. Canned vegetables, greens, beans and soups are in great need at this time, according to Director Michele Baier.
