Anderson County Registered voters who qualify and need to cast an absentee ballot for the November 6 General Election may do so beginning this week at the Voter Registration Office located at 107 South Main Street in Room 105 in Anderson. The office hours are 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

“Contrary to popular belief, this is not Early Voting”, explained Director, Katy Smith.

“Some of our neighboring states do have Early Voting in which voters can cast their ballot before Election Day; however, in South Carolina only voters that meet certain criteria are allowed to vote before Election Day.”

Voters who wish to cast an Absentee Ballot must apply by filling out an application and mark the reason he/she would qualify for an absentee ballot.

The last day to vote Absentee is Monday, November 5th at 5:00 p.m. For more information on this process voters are encouraged to visit scvotes.org
