A Pelzer EMS paramedic works at the scene of a single vehicle accident on Saluda Drive in Piedmont late Friday night. A pickup truck ran off the roadway and struck a utility pole before running through a fence. When Piedmont firefighters and EMS arrived there was no one around the vehicle.
