CURTIS ‘COOKIE’ NIMMONS, JR.
Albert Curtis “Cookie” Nimmons, Jr., 36, of Piedmont, died November 19, 2012.
He was a son of Albert Curtis, Sr. and Ollie Jenny Kelly Nimmons of Piedmont.
Surviving in addition to his parents are sisters, Ann Marie Davis, Mary Catina Nimmons; brother, Jerry Michael Paul Nimmons.

SGT. CHANNING ‘BO’ HICKS
Sgt. Channing Bo Hicks, 24, of Greer, was KIA in Paktika province, Afghanistan honorably serving his country, on November 16, 2012.
Born in Greer, he was a graduate of Greer High School and was serving in the U.S. Army.
Surviving are his father and step-mother, Chan and Karen Hicks of Lyman; mother and step-father, Amy H. and Glenn Shaulis of Piedmont; son and a daughter, Wesley Bo and Deliah Hicks and their mother Lisa Danielle Shelton, all of Taylors; two brothers, John Hicks of Greer and Colton Agnew of Starr; one sister Brinna Hicks of Greer; grandmother, Kaye ‘Mimi’ Hicks of the home; grandmother Judy Hindman of Greer; grandfather, Frank Holcombe of Greer; great-grandparents, Faye Hicks Page and Lucy and Hollis Westmoreland.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at Fairview Baptist Church. Burial followed in Wood Memorial Park with full military rites.

DOROTHY ‘DOT’ MCGOWAN
Dorothy ‘Dot’ Blackwell McGowan, 61, of Greenville, died Saturday, November 17, 2012.
Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Jack Blackwell and Louise Jordan Blackwell.
She worked for the Greenville Hospital System and was a member of PIlgrim Rest Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Timothy Blackwell of the home, and Travis McGowan of Berea; sisters, Ella Blackwell of Greenville, Sharon Henley of Charleston; brothers, Arthur J. Blackwell, Jimmy Blackwell, Anthony Blackwell, all of Greenville, Benjamin Blackwell of Piedmont; and three grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Saturday, November 24 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown Chapel. Burial followed at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

DALE PAGE
Dale Page, 59, died Tuesday, November 20, 2012.
Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Joe and Ina Page. He was employed at Ethox Chemicals. He is survived by his wife Donna Lewis Page; son, Philip; daughter Jenny Page; two grandchildren; two brothers, Charles and Henry Page; and four sisters, Jan Kay, Jean Estes, Gail Jenkins and Connie White.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Kingdom Hall in Simpsonville.

THOMAS DEXTER ROGERS
Thomas Dexter Rogers, 62, of Panama City, FL, died November 10, 2012, at his home. He was the son of John Thomas and Annie Mae Rogers in Anderson.
He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps serving in Vietnam. He was a police sergeant with the Anderson City Police Department, police officer/investigator with the Pensacola Police Department, a road deputy/investigator with the Special Ops Task Force, and retired from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Department.
Survivors include his sister, Wylene Moore of Anderson; his sister, Elaine Brock of Williamston; his brother, John Rogers of Anderson.
Funeral service was held Sunday, November 25 at the Whitefield Baptist Church, Highway 29 North, Belton, SC.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Home for Children, 110 Calvary Home Circle, Anderson, SC 29621.

MILDRED CARMEN DAVIS EDWARDS
Mildred Carmen Davis Edwards, 79, widow of John David Edwards of Williamston, died Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at her daughter’s home.
Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late John T. and Carmen Walls Davis. She was a member of Dorchester Baptist Church.
Surviving are daughter, Wanda Edwards Crymes of Williamston; brothers, James Davis of Belton and Mackey Davis of Anderson; sisters, Agnes McCuen of Greenville, Shelby Keith of Greenville and Rebecca Pressley of Honea Path; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Friday at Dorchester Baptist Church. Entombment followed at Forest Lawn Mausoleum.
Memorials may be made to Dorchester Baptist Church.

BOBBY S. KELLY
Bobby S.  Kelly, 69, of Belton, SC passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2012.
He is survived by his wife; three children; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and four brothers.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son.
A Memorial Service was held at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel on Sunday, November 25, 2012.
Woodlawn Sosebee Funeral Home and Crematory will be assisting the family with the arrangements.

RUBY S. COUCH
Ruby Louise Stegall Couch, 93, formerly of Piercetown Community, widow of James Lloyd Couch, died Sunday, November 25, 2012 at the Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Piercetown, she was the daughter of the late Patrick S. and Bessie Smith Stegall. She was a retired school teacher and principal in the public school system. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Shirley Chappell of Clemson and Susan Jones of Anderson; two grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Funeral service was held Wednesday at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.

SANDRA ELAINE GRAY
Sandra Elaine Gray, 61, of Greenville, died Friday, November 23, 2012 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Greenville she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Louise Henderson Crockett.
Surviving are husband, Charles Gray; daughters, Annette Owens, Charlene Gray and Felicia Sartor, all of Greenville, Lashaun Scott of Pelzer, and Dorothy Robinson of Cleveland, OH; son, Joseph Gray of New Orleans, LA; sister, Bernice Crockett of Akron, OH; brother, Jerry Crockett of New Orleans, LA; 23 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Wednesday at Watkins, Garrett & Woods Mortuary with burial in Flat Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.

‘DON’ CAMPBELL
Donald “Don” Rudolph Campbell, 89, formerly of Piedmont, widower of Thelma Louise Patrick Campbell, died Monday, November 26, 2012.
Born in Greer, he was a son of the late Brodus Campbell and Grace Campbell Lynn.  He was retired from Cliff’s Produce in Piedmont and Bowen’s Supermarket in Pelzer.  He was a member of Grove Station Baptist Church.
He was a WWII Air Force veteran.
Surviving are daughter, Donna C. Brock of Piedmont; son, Jerry Campbell of Williamston; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, two brothers, and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Greenville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel.

The family members are at their respective homes.
