WILLIAMSTON – Donald Kenneth “Buddy” Allen, 74, of 412 Williams Street, husband of Linda Page Allen, died Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at National Health Care.
Born in Greenville County, SC, he was the son of the late Albert Dennis Allen and Hazel Burns Allen. He was a retired letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Greenville and attended First Baptist Church of Williamston.
In addition to his wife of the home, he is survived by his daughter, Sunny Allen and her fiancé, Gary Ward, of Simpsonville; sons, Travis Allen and his wife, Mindy, of Westminster, and Shaun Allen and his wife, Lisa, of Clemson; and three grandchildren, Lyla, Walker, and Katie Page Allen.
Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 8, 2012, at Graceland Cemetery, with Rev. Brad Bardin officiating. Due to illness in the family, the family will speak with friends following the graveside services.

WILLIAMSTON, SC – Clara Lee Duncan, age 101, of Williamston, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, December 5, 2012.
Born in Anderson, SC, she was a daughter of the late Henry Phillip Duncan and the late Maude Wheeler Duncan. She retired from the Kendall Plant in Pelzer, SC after many years of service. Clara was a member of Williamston First Baptist Church where she was their oldest member.
She is survived by her sisters, Edith Melton, Agnes Guyton and Margaret Dean and her husband, W.H. Dean all of Williamston, SC, Alene “Pat” West of Anderson, SC, Lillian Edwards of Santa Paula, CA and Barbara Kincaid of Atlanta, GA; also surviving are her nieces and nephews who all considered her their special aunt.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Ethel Cooley, Lucille Jamieson and Emma Duncan and her little dog, Sugar
A private family Graveside Service was held in the Duncan Family Plot at Old Silver Brook Cemetery with Reverend Brad Bardin and Reverend Dr. James R. Thomason officiating.
The family would like to thank the staff of station 5 of NHC of Anderson, especially Wilhemenia, and of Hospice of the Upstate for their loving care shown to Clara.

Pearl Elizabeth Gravley Cox, 73, died Friday, November 30, 2012 at her home in Williamston.
Born in Wythe County, VA, she was a daughter of the late Buford and Rosie Bass Gravley.
She is survived by her husband, Charles R. Cox, Jr.; four sons, Mitch Cox, David Cox, Perry Cox, and Brian Cox; and Chris & Brandi Cox Alberson; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; siblings, Bobby Burton of Shelby, Evelyn Easter of Darper, VA, Doug Gravley of Newark, OH, BF Gravley of Williamston, and Daneal Gravley of Nevada.
Memorial service was held Saturday, Dec. 8 at Hillcrest Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.

SAM GAMBRELL
Samuel Robert “Sam” Gambrell, 62, of Pelzer, died Friday, December 7, 2012, at Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Honea Path, he was a son of the late James Olin and Helen Keasler Gambrell. He was a member of Restoration Truth Ministries Church and the National Guard.
He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Geeslin of Marietta, GA, and Rhonda Pace of Durham, NC; former spouse and special friend, Deborah Gambrell Roberts of Pelzer; sister, Becky Gilmer; brothers, James and Ricky Gambrell; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Monday at Gray Mortuary Chapel.

PAUL BURRETTO
Paul Joseph Burretto, 56, of Williamston, husband of Deborah Rogers Burretto, died Saturday, December 8, 2012, at Regency Hospital.
Born in Spartanburg, he was a son of the late Frank and Florence Griffin Burretto, Sr. He was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church and formerly employed by Wal-Mart.
In addition to his wife of the home, he is survived by his stepson Travis Rogers of Williamston; sister Marie Burretto of Allendale; brother Frank Burretto, Jr., of Palm City, FL; four step-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday in the Gray Mortuary Chapel with burial following at White Plains Baptist Church.
The family is at the home of Marvin Rogers, 136 Breazeale Drive, Williamston.

PAUL LEE CRAWFORD
Paul Lee Crawford, 85, widower of Bobbie Tollison Crawford, formerly of Belton, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 at Richard Campbell VA Nursing Home.
Born in Belton, he was the son of the late John Newton and Mary Floyd Ellison Crawford. He was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church and was a US Army Veteran of World War II.
Surviving are sons, Ronnie Crawford of Williamston, Gary Crawford of Belton and Doug Crawford of Anderson; daughters, Gail Gambrell of Williamston and Judy Moon of Honea Path; brother, Wilburn Crawford of Greenville; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Sunday at Big Creek Baptist Church. Burial followed at the church cemetery.

Mary E. Hagood, 63, of Piedmont, died Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Westminster, NC, she was the daughter of the late Carvin and Wynitha Grant Speed.
Surviving are husband, James Hagood; daughter, Lisa Ward of Greer; sisters, Sue Ann Speed Brown of Anderson and LeLa Speed Scott of Seneca; brother, Larry Robinson of Seneca; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Sunday at I-85 Church of Christ. Burial followed in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

Mary Frances Nation “Mama” Hanks, 84, wife of Sam Folger Hanks, of Belton, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012 at NHC of Anderson.
Born in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Hoke and Delree Fleming Nation. She was a member of Second Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are; daughters, Jackie Davis and Kaye Saville, both of Belton; sister, Jo Ann Hawkins of Pelzer; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Satirday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Belton Cemetery.

AJ ‘JR’ GARRETT, JR.
AJ “JR” Garrett, Jr., 63, of Greenville, died Wednesday, December 5, 2012.
Born in Greenville, he was a son of Lou Ella Garrett and the late AJ Garrett, Sr.
He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.
Surviving in addition to his mother, are two sisters, Barbara Martin of Gray Court, and Carolyn McCarson of Greenville; two brothers, Leon Garrett of Pelzer and Pee Wee Garrett of Greenville.
A graveside service was held Sunday, December 9 at Rabun Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
