Editor’s note – Due to the holiday schedule of The Journal and recent changes at the Williamston Police Department, reporting on incident reports has been delayed. The following incidents were investigated by the Williamston Police Department over the holidays and into January.

Dec. 31 – Orville Keith Hogancamp Jr., 46, 110 Lakeview Dr., Williamston was arrested for criminal domestic violence after officers responded to the location in reference to a 911 hangup. M. E. Simmons investigated.

Dec. 28 – Herbert Hoover Hall, 68, 416 Belton Dr., B-6 reported a moped stolen from a parking space in front of his apartment. The moped was valued at $1,300. SGT/SRO L. D. Ritter investigated.

Dec. 28 – SJ Jackson III, 45, 1 W. Carolina St., Williamston was arrested for failure to surrender tag and issued a warning ticket for speeding 40 mph in a 25 mph zone after a Pontiac Grand Am was observed traveling at a high rate of speed on West Main St. Cpl. L. E. Mulz investigated.

Dec. 28 – Jeremy Joseph Childress, 33, 17 Prospect St., Piedmont was arrested for simple possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct after officers were notified of a problem customer at Suntrust Bank. J. Rogers investigated.

Dec. 28 – Issac Lee Bell, 45, 115 Walker St,. Clemson was arrested for outstanding bench warrant after the Anderson County Detention Center (ACDC) notified WPD that he was in custody. Sgt. K. J. Winn investigated.

Dec. 26 – John Richard Thomas, 131 North St., Williamston reported two portable DVD players and one jacket removed from his vheicle. R. E. Bell investigated.

Dec. 23 – Dendell Scott Boiter Jr., 24, 229 Hogg Rd., Williamston was arrested for simple possession of marijuana and seat belt violation after a Honda was observed on Wall St. and Academy with the driver not wearing a seatbelt. Reports state officers found what appearted to be a rolled marijuana joint and a small bag of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana in his possession. R. E. Bell, K. D. Lollis investigated.

Dec. 19 – Alvin Lee Colbert, Jr., 47, 19 Parker St., Williamston was arrested for violation of order of protection after officers responded to the residence. Sgt. K. J. Winn, J. Rogers investigated.

Dec. 19 – Deismond B Wesley, 38, 20 Moorings Dr., Williamston was arrested for driving under suspension after a burgundy truck was observed on Main St,. without any bumpers and a missing mirror. His drivers license was suspended for failure to pay a traffic ticket. J. Eppes investigated.

Dec. 11 – David Humberto Morales, 49, 3740 HI Taylor Rd., Williamston was arrested for no SC drivers license, operating an uninsured vehicle and no tag after a blue moped was observed on Greenville Dr. with a flat rear tire. J. Eppes investigated.

Dec. 15 – Hector Adan Turcio, 40, Lot 4 Joe Black Rd., Williamston was arrested for no SC drivers license, operating an uninsured vehicle and suspended tag after a white Toyota was observed on Anderson Dr.. J. Eppes investigated.

Dec. 18 – Ever Benjamin Zepeda, 19, 137 Hillcrest Dr., Williamston was arrested for no SC drivers license and muffler violation after a black Honda was observed making a loud noise from the exhaust pipe on West Main St.

Dec. 19 – Barry Lee Callaham, 53, 901 Anderson Dr., Williamston was arrested for driving under the influence, speeding 65/35 and no proof of insurance after a white Honda was observed traveling on Belton Dr., at a high rate of speed. J. Eppes investigated.

Dec. 1 – Samuel Garcia Benitez, 29, 104 Carley Ct., Pelzer was arrested for driving without a license after a Dodge pickup truck was stopped at a traffic safety checkpoint on Hamilton St., SC 5 B. Hardy investigated.
