Vehicle strikes mobile home – Cheddar Road

A tow truck operator prepares to pull a Chevrolet Tracker sport utility vehicle from a mobile home Wednesday evening. The driver apparently lost control of the vehicle while driving east on Cheddar Road causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and strike a mobile home. The vehicle struck the mobile home under the window of the bedroom of two children. The children happened to be in the living room playing a game with their mother at the time. Williamston Emergency Medical Services along with Cheddar firefighters responded to the wreck. The driver was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating. (Photo by David Rogers)
