Bike racing returned to South Greenville area over the weekend. The second of five races of the Hincapie Spring Training Series was held at the Fork Shoals Elementary School and surrounding roads on Saturday, Feb. 16. The racing finished just as snow began falling across the area on Saturday and racing continued on Sunday at the Donaldson Center.
The next three locations for cycling races in the upstate will be: Feb. 23 La Bastide Road Race at the La Bastide Hotel & Restaurant, 10 Road of Vines in Travelers Rest and the Conestee Park criterium on Feb. 24 at the Conestee Park Stadium, 1 Braves Ave., Greenville. Weekend four will be March 2 with the River Falls Road race at Gap Creek Baptist Church, 381 Gap Creek Rd., Marietta; and a criterium Mar. 3 at the Conestee Park Stadium, 1 Braves Ave., Greenville.
