Down Home Auctions & Consignments has recently relocated to the Williamston area and have opened a Consignment Store at 313 Beaverdam Road.

The consignment store offers a way for the public to sell household furnishings without the hassle of having a yard sale or having strangers calling or coming to your home, said owner Jimmy Hawkins.

Items are displayed in an attractive room setting and sold at competitive prices. Consignors receive fifty percent of the selling price.

Hawkins is also an auctioneer and conducts estate auctions and general auctions. Weekly auctions will be held at the location beginning in mid-March he said.

“It is our goal to offer quality upscale merchandise,” Hawkins said. “We only accept clean items that are in excellent or gently used condition.”

They will accept furniture, antiques, rugs, paintings, prints, frames, lamps, mirrors and kitchen and household accessories.

Consignment store hours are Tuesday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m to 4 p.m.

Grand opening will be Friday and Saturday March 1 and 2. Refreshments will be served.

Hawkins is also available for auctions. For more information call 864-841-2223.
