State Representative Anne Thayer, of District 8, who spent more than two weeks in serious condition in an Anderson hospital, as the result of complications from a medical procedure, was released from the hospital last Thursday. Rep. Thayer is a second term incumbent, and was appointed to the House Judiciary Committee and its Constitutional Law subcommittee recently.
She is facing a recuperation of some length, and remains on leave of absence from the General Assembly. Anderson County Legislative Delegation Chairman Mike Gambrell confirmed Thayer’s return to her home, which she shares with her husband and three children.
“We are all glad to see Anne at home with her family, and look forward to the time when she can rejoin the Anderson delegation in pursuing the business of Anderson County.”
