Williamston Police Report May 9

Williamston Police Officers investigated several thefts and drug violations during May including the following incidents:

May 9 – Holly Lane Turner, 32, 9 Ashley Dr., Williamston was arrested for possession with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop for an equipment violation at Greenville Dr. and Courtney St. Reports state a quantity of methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia were found in the vehicle. She was issued a warning for the equipment violation. C. Whitfield, M. E. Simmons investigated.

May 9 – According to reports, a 15-year-old male juvenile received five days of suspension from school after posting a false ad about another student on Craigslist with the victims real phone number. SGT/SRO L. D. Ritter investigated.

May 9 – Cody Douglas Poore, 26, 3 E 1st. St. Williamston reported an XBOX 360 valued at $250 and a flat iron hair straightner valued at $40 missing from the residence. A TV was also damaged. M. E. Simmons, C. Whitfield investigated.

May 8 – Joanne Tollison Todd, 54, 5 Sunset Ct., Williamston reported her 14-year-old grandson had taken her 2009 Kia Spectra without her consent. The vehicle is valued at $4,000. T. D. Hoover, D. Crawford investigated.

May 8 – Jerry David Rainey Jr., 44, 12 Spring St., West Pelzer was arrested for an active warrant for family court in Anderson County and an expired license plate after a vehicle was observed on Williams St,. and Mill St. with an expired tag. C. Whitfield investigated.

May 7 – Desterian Alexander Kelly, 17, 126 W. First St,. Williamston reported a black 20 inch Mongoose bicycle valued at $50 taken from the location. M. E. Simmons investigated.

May 7 – Josh Britton, 547 Mill St., Williamston reported the theft of a Currier 2.5 ton air conditioning unit valued at $2,500. R. Drennon investigated.

May 5 – Officers investigated the use of a stolen Suntrust debit card at two locations in Williamston. One purchse was for $260 made at Dollar General and a second was for $22 at SavWay. David J. Herndon, 29, 245 Congaree Rd,. Greenville reported that his wallet and the card were stolen last week. A. Eliopoulos investigated.

May 5 – Rockey Burgess, 400 Palmetto Rd., Williamston reported a white 1996 TCP 24C camper valued at $6,500 stolen from the parking lot of the location. A. Eliopoulos investigated.

May 4 – Tammy Ricks, also identified as Tammy Brady Wilson, of Belton was placed on trespass notice for Dollar General, 526 West Main St., Williamston after officers were dispatched to the store in reference to a possible shoplifter. Cpl. L. E. Mulz, Sgt. K. J. Winn investigated.

May 4 – Larry Lemond Bonds, 47, 114 Tripp St., Williamston was arrested for simple possession of marijuana after a Ford Expedition was observed at Bigby St., and Tripp St. with a temporary paper tag. After a drug dog alerted on the vehicle, a small baggie of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana was located in the console. A female identified as Heather Jenkins was also charged with simple possession of marijuana after both stated the substance did not belong to either of them. M. E. Simmons investigated.

May 3 – Lisa Michelle Christy, 39, 20 Smythe St., Pelzer was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after officers were dispatched to 526 West Main St. A male identified as Chris Ricks was arrested for outstanding warrants with Anderson County and Honea Path. He was transported to meet with HP PD. Upon searching the vehicle, a glass pipe with crystal like residue and a wooden pipe were found. M. E. Simmons investigated.

May 2 – Jessica Leighton Williams, 30, 312 Belton Dr., Williamston reported a laptop, 42” Emerson TV valued at $550 taken from her residence. T. D. Hoover investigated.

May 1 – Morris Jerome Wood, 43, 105 Janice Circle, Anderson was arrested for assault and battery 2nd degree after officers were dispatched to 559 West Main St. According to reports, Wood threatened a man in the parking lot with a knife. R. Drennon, A. Eliopoulos investigated.

May 1 – Ashley Brooke McGaha, 23 Black St,. Williamston reported a Jager tap machine valued at $500 and a Nook Tablet valued at $260 taken from the residence. Cpl. L. E. Mulz investigated.

APRIL

Apr. 26 – Mary Ellen Carter, 66, 4 Shaw Dr., Williamston reported two green frog statues taken from her yard. T. D. Hoover investigated.

Apr. 29 – David R. Harvell, 70, 1213 Dickens St., Williamston reported a window broken out of the residence. The window was valued at $50. Cpl. L. E. Mulz investigated.

Apr. 29 – Mable Arnold Slade, 58, 325 E. Carolina St., #121 reported her social security number used by someone to file a 2011 tax return. Cpl. L. E. Mulz investigated.

Apr. 29 – Fiesta Mexican Restaurant, 543 W. Main St., Williamston reported three individuals, two males and a female, left the restaurant with a $90 bill. Reports state they left in a blue Chevrolet truck. C. Whitfield investigated.

Apr. 30 – Thomas Dontez Hunt Jr., 21, 205 Mansion Circle Piedmont was arrested for outstanding warrant with Anderson City Police after a traffic stop for a seat belt violation. C. Whitfield investigated.
