Williamston Police Report

Williamston Police Officers investigated several thefts and incidents involving drugs including the following:

May 7 – Williamston officers discovered two bags of marijuana and a set of digital scales on a porch at 403 Greenville Dr. Officers also found a pill bottle at the residence containing 8 generic Xanax pills. The drugs were seized and marked for disposal. Reports state no arrest was made becasue it could not be determined who was in control of the items at the time. Capt. K. Marsee, Chief T. Taylor investigated.

May 9 – Officers responded to 409 Gossett Dr., Williamston Cushman Plant, in reference to found drugs. According to reports, a bag of white crystal like substance was found in a men’s restroom. J. Rogers investigated.

May 10 – Two juvenile students, one male one female, at Palmetto Middle School, 803 N. Hamilton St. are being suspended from school and will be referred to the Department of Juvenile Justice for simple possession of marijuana after a small amount of a green leafy substance believed to be marinuana was found in the possession of the male. SGT/SRO L. D. ritter investigated.

May 14 – Judy M. Edens, 71, 4 Parker St., Pelzer reported a lost debit card which had been deactivated being used for a purchase for $1.72 at 905 Greenville Dr. and for a purchase of $26 at 934 Anderson Dr., Williamston. C. Whitfield investigated.

May 15 – Anthony Daquan Dean, 20, 18 Brown St., Williamston, was arrested for outstanding warrants with Anderson County Sheriff’s Department for distribution of crack cocaine, distribution of crack cocaine with proximity of a school. C Whitefield, A. Eliopoulos investigated.

May 15 – Julie Nichols, 805 Tripp St,. Williamston reported a 2001 Green Kawasaki 300 4-wheeler valued at $2,500 taken from the carport. A. Eliopoulos, J. Rogers investigated.

May 10 – John Ronald Topper, 55, 306 Mauldin St., Williasmton reported a suitcase safe containing assorted collectable coins and jewelry removed from the residence. The items were valued at $797. Sgt. K. J. Winn investigated.

May 17 – Candace Noelle Smith, 32, 135 Crown Ct., Williamston was placed on trespass notice for Dollar General, 526 West Main St. after officers responded to the store. Sgt. K. J. Winn investigated.
