ROY FINLEY
Roy Junior Finley, 86, of Williamston,  widower of Florence Marie Rogers Finley, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at his home.
Born in Pickens, he was a son of the late Leon Elmer and Lillie Arnold Finley.  He was retired from Delta Woodside/JP Stevens Estes Plant and a member of Whitefield Baptist Church.
Surviving are sons, Gary, Mike, Dale, Keith Finley, all of Williamston; brother, Elbert Finley of West Pelzer; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 31 at Whitefield Baptist Church.  Burial followed in the church cemetery.

EDNA DAVIS BUCHANAN
Edna Davis Buchanan, 81, of Greenville, widow of Dwight M. Buchanan, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013.
Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Eugene Fred and Della Hamilton Davis.
She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by daughters, Jo King of Greenville, Connie Robles of Simpsonville, and Tammy Duncan of Greenville; sons, Steve Buchanan of Greenville and Jason Buchanan of Piedmont; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Sylvia King of Greenville and Evelyn Lockee of Campobello; and brothers, Ronald Davis of Easley and Dickie Davis of Easley.
Funeral service was held Friday, May 31 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Burial followed in Graceland West Cemetery.

DR. JON CHRISTOHPER KAZAGLIS, MD
Dr. Jon Christopher Kazaglis, MD, 56, of Piedmont, husband of Pamela Odom Kazaglis, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013.
Born in Chicago, IL, he was a son of Alice Spirakis Kazaglis and the late Louis Jon Kazaglis.
He specialized in Psychiatry and was a Commissioner with the Anderson County EMS. He was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by sons, Louis David Jon Kazaglis, MD and Christopher Jon Kazaglis; brother, Jeffrey Kazaglis, MD; sister, Charise Valente, Esq.; father and mother-in-law, James and Pam Odom.
Funeral service was held Friday, May 31, 2013 at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral.

DEBORAH ‘DEBBIE’ ATWOOD BENNETT
Deborah “Debbie” Atwood Bennett, 60, of Piedmont, widow of Charles Bennett, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013.
Born in Sparta, NC, she was the daughter of Annie Bynum Atwood and the late George Kyle Atwood.
She was a sales representative at Select Health and was a member of Foundations of Faith.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by daughter, Jennifer Garrett.
Funeral service was held Friday, May 31, 2013 at Greenville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel.

LARRY AUBREY ‘LAB’ ROBERTSON
Larry Aubrey “Lab” Robertson, 74, of Greenville, husband of Doris O’Shields Robertson, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013.
Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late George and Nannie Smith Robertson.
He was a member of Parisview Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Larry Namon Robertson, Vicky Gill, Russell Robertson, and Melody Henson, all of Greenville; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Diamond Smith of Pelzer, and Patricia  Magaha of Greenville; and brother, Tony Robertson of Fountain Inn.
Funeral service was held Saturday, June 1 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest Chapel. Burial followed in Graceland West Cemetery.

DOROTHY ELAINE PLATTS PLETCHER
Dorothy Elaine (Platts) Pletcher was born on September 7, 1921 in Egan, South Dakota, the daughter of Albert and Bertha (Wilson) Platts. She attended grade school in Egan, and graduated from Valley Springs High School, Valley Springs, South Dakota in 1939. On February 21, 1941 she was united in marriage to Elden W. Pletcher in Egan, South Dakota. After their marriage they began farming north of Valley Springs until 1964 when they moved to Amboy, Minnesota. In 1967, the family moved to Jackson, Minnesota where they remained. Elden passed away on October 29, 1997, Dorothy continued to live in her home until October of 2005 when she became a resident of Jackson Good Samaritan Center. She passed away there on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the age of 91 years, 8 months, and 21 days.
Dorothy was a member of Untied Methodist Church in Jackson. She enjoyed dancing, flower gardening, traveling, and taking care of her family.  She loved to spend time with her children and grand children.  She assisted with a young children’s daycare for many years in Jackson.
Dorothy is survived by her three sons: Gary and Ruth Ann Pletcher of Williamston, South Carolina, Richard and Jean Pletcher of Eagan, Minnesota, and Jeffrey and Mary Lou Pletcher of Apple Valley, Minnesota; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and her sister Hazel Jackson of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and seven siblings.
Blessed be the memory of Dorothy Elaine Pletcher.

CHERYL BLOCK
Cheryl Lynn Julio Block, 60, of Belton, widow of Phillip Ross Block, died June 1, 2013 at her home.
Born in Lapeer, MI, she was a daughter of Betty Atkinson Julio and the late Anthony Julio.  She was employed with Golden Corral.
Surviving in addition to her mother of Belton are son Philip James Block; daughter, Lisa Marie Harris both of Belton; brothers, Larry Julio of Ypsilanti, MI, Tony Julio of Pensacola, FL; sisters, Cindy Louk of Imlay City, MI, Linda Fowke of Romeo, MI, Jackie Quintana of Belton, Tammy Kujda of Yale, MI, Kim Liebisch of Belton; three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 5 in the funeral home chapel of Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.
Burial followed in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Anderson.

JUANITA MORTON
Mary Juanita Blackerby Morton, 78, of Pelzer, wife of Milford J. Morton, died Friday, May 31, 2013.
Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late William Frank and Mittie Lucy Hicks Blackerby.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Stanley Morton, Denise Landrum, Al Morton, Cindy Page and Stephanie Walker; sisters, Caroline Hunt and Donna Ferron; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 2 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. Burial followed at Grove Station Baptist Church.

NORMAN CULBERTSON
Norman Walter Culbertson, 80, of Pelzer, husband of Leila McAlister Culbertson, died Sunday, June 2, 2013.
Born in Greenville County, he was the son of Matthew and Lottie Mae Ross Culbertson.  He was retired from R.S. Sabee and was a Baptist.  He was also a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Surviving in addition to his wife are daughter, Pam Kellett of Piedmont; son, Rick Culbertson of Easley; brother, Roy Culbertson of Greenville; ten grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held 11am Wednesday, June 5 at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

FRED RAMPEY
Fred Rampey, 83, of Beverly Hills, Florida, died on Wednesday, May 29, 2013.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Davenport Rampey; one son, Fred Rampey, Jr. of Ft. Collins, CO; and two grandchildren.
He was born in Piedmont and was predeceased by his parents, John Samuel Rampey and Marion Major Rampey.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority. He was a member of the Hernando Church of the Nazarene.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 4 at Piedmont Wesleyan Church. Burial followed in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

MARGUERIETE FENT HUGHES
Margueriete Fent Hughes, 83, widow of Harold E. Hughes, died Friday, May 31, 2013.
Born in Merrick, OK, she was the daughter of the late Curtis C. and Pearl Jarvis Fent.
She was retired from Blackman’s Nursing Registry and was a member of Greenville First Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are daughters, Laree Lollis of Pelzer, and Janece Cantrell of Jasper, FL; sons, Phillip Hughes of Cross Anchor, Troy Hughes of Campobello, and Brock Hughes of Greenville; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sisters, Viola Dilley, Dorothy Shaw, and Bertha Beech.
Funeral service was held Tuesday, June 4 at Greenville First Church of the Nazarene. Burial followed in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

JACQUELINE L. CAMPBELL
Jacqueline Hope Loftis Campbell, 79, of Greer, died Thursday, May 30, 2013 at her home.
A native of Greer, she was a daughter of the late J. Roy and Lois Foster Loftis, a retired dental assistant and was a member of Praise Cathedral.
Surviving are her husband, Douglas B. Campbell of the home; two sons, Keith D. Campbell of Greer and Steven M. of Taylors; one daughter, Kimberly H. Patterson of Powdersville; two brothers, Doyle Loftis of Chapin and Darius Loftis of Goose Creek; one sister, Maxine McCarthy of Rahway, NJ; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held  Sunday, June 2 at Praise Cathedral. A private burial was held.

BOBBY LOUIS DONALDSON
Bobby Louis Donaldson, 73, of Piedmont, died on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late Calvin and Myrtle Dacus Donaldson.
Surviving are his wife, Thelma Donaldson; daughter, Edith Donaldson of Piedmont; sons, Russell Donaldson of Williamston and Calvin Donaldson of Piedmont; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service was held Sunday at St. Matthews Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.

NANCY DRAKE CHASTEEN
Nancy Drake Chasteen, 61, of Anderson, died Saturday, June 1, 2013 at her home.
Born in Pelzer, she was the daughter of Mary Ann Lee Drake of Anderson and the late Guy E. Drake. She retired from Anderson County Department of Health and Environmental Control.
She is survived by her husband Rick Chasteen of the home; a son, Rickey S. Chasteen II of Anderson; daughter, Leigh Anne Harmon of Evanston, IL; sisters, Sylvia Garrett of Anderson, Dale Ginn and Christi Fowler, both of Pendleton; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service was held June 5 in the chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home.

WILLIAM EUGENE ‘SHORTY’ COLLINS
William Eugene “Shorty” Collins, 80, of Anderson, died Monday, June 3, 2013 at his home.
Born in Walhalla, he was the son of the late Oscar C. Collins and the late Myra Reid Collins. He was the husband of Audrey Smith Collins of the home.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Wometco Vending Company. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Stanley E. Collins of Powdersville; daughter, Sharon Collins Collier of Anderson; brother, Gennar Collins of Anderson; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held June 5 at the Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.

ROBERT EDWARD ALLEY
Robert Edward Alley, 72, of Piedmont, husband of Nancy Phillips Alley, died Sunday, June 2, 2013.
Born in Aliquippa, PA, he was a son of the late James Herman and Helen Spearman Alley.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from B&L Mechanical. He was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Kenneth Alley of Greenville and Phillip Alley of Easley; sisters, Karen Jackson of Gaffney and Beth Baker of Easley; and two grandchildren.
Funeral service was held June 5 at Rock Springs Baptist Church. Burial followed in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

JESSIE LEE JOLLEY
Jessie Lee Jolley, 95, of Greenville, died Sunday, June 2, 2013.
Born in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late Grover and Lona Mae Abernathy.
She was predeceased by her husband, William D. Jolley.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are daughters, Melba Garrison, Brenda Miller, Sandra Clary and Pam Taylor, all of Powdersville; son, Gerald Jolley of Orangeburg; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three sisters.
Funeral service was held June 5 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest Chapel. Entombment followed in Robinson Memorial Gardens.

DORIS HAMMONTREE
GREENVILLE – Doris Marcell Patterson Hammontree, 78, formerly of the Slabtown Community in Anderson County, died Monday, June 3, 2013.
Born in Piedmont, she was a daughter of the late Otis and Bessie Estelle Saxton Patterson.  She was retired from National Electric Carbon Corp. and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving are sons, John Love (Margaret) of Greenville, Randy Love (Joan) of Fredericksburg, VA, Shane Hammontree (Kassandria) of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren, Andrew Love, Karen Love, Kailee Love; sisters, Mary Moore (Bud), Sandra “Sonny” Posey (David), Faye Lollis (Herman), all of Easley. Betty Waldrop (Tony) of Powdersville.
She was predeceased by her husband, Walter Claybern Hammontree and a son, Keith Edward Love.
Visitation will be held from 5-6 pm on Friday, June 7, 2013 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.
Funeral services will follow at 6pm in the funeral home chapel.
