Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated several thefts including a 2008 PT Cruiser. Among incidents investigated were the following:
PELZER
June 20 – J.G. Williams responded to 8 Front St. where Joshua Bailey reported that someone had forced entry into his residence and stolen a number of tools. The loss was estimated at $580.
June 20 – Cpl. K.D. Pigman was dispatched to 42 Lyman St. where Michael Eskew reported that his stepson James Walker, WM, 22, 6’4″, 150 pounds, blond/blue had assaulted him during an argument. His son, Joshua Eskew confirmed his father’s report of the incident. The elder Eskew suffered an injury to his eye. The case was to be presented to a magistrate.
June 21 – A.F. Acevedo responded to 3 River St. where he found William Prather Jr., WM, 33, 6’, 240 pounds, brn/grn cursing and behaving in a boisterous manner. Acevedo determined that he was highly intoxicated and placed him in custody for public disorderly conduct.
PIEDMONT
June 20 – P.C. Henry was on duty at the ACSO desk when Christopher Coyle of Greenwood reported the theft of his 2008 Chrysler PT cruiser from the BP station in Piedmont. He had left it there several days earlier when it wouldn’t crank. The value of the vehicle is $7000.
June 20 – B. Vaughn was dispatched to 133 Baylor Rd. where James Watson Jr. reported the theft of approximately $300 worth of copper pipe from the basement of the residence.
June 21 – R.D. Smith responded to 1501 Elrod Rd. where Seymore Talmadge reported the theft of a Browning deer camera from the property, valued at $175.
June 21 – B. Vaughn responded to Greenville Memorial Hospital in reference to an accidental shooting that occurred at 101 Childers Circle. Robert Bailey reported that he was asleep after working third shift when he was awakened by the screams of his juvenile son and a friend. The son had reportedly jostled a table next to the chair he was sitting in and his father’s .25 caliber pistol fell into his lap and went off, shooting him in the thigh.
