Celebrate Independence on June 29

The Town of Williamston will hold their Independence Day celebration and fireworks on Saturday, June 29.

Events planned include antique fire truck rides, music, kids’ inflatables, and specials on food items at McDonald’s Restaurant.

McDonald’s will also co-sponsor a cruise-in car show with the Williamston Fire Department. There will be $50 cash give-a-way drawings for cruise-in entries at 7 p.m., 8 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Several food vendors will be participating with sno-cones, ice cream and hot dogs. Music will be provided the the Vonna band.

Events will begin at 5 p.m. with fireworks at 9:30 p.m. A Farmers Market will be held in Mineral Spring Park from 8 a.m. to noon. There will be local vendors with farm fresh honey, beef, pork, vegetables and other items.

The event is sponsored by the Williamston Fire Department, Spring Water Festival Committee and the Town of Williamston.
