Williamston Police Officers investigated the following:

June 8 – Katrina Perkins Keeler, 28, 1500 Big Creek Rd., Williamston reported that a Mason jar placed at the Stop & Go, 103 Greenville Dr., to help with medical expenses for her nine month old nephew was taken. The jar contained from $5 to $15 Cpl. L. E. Mulz investigated.

June 11 – Rite Aid, 201 E. Main St., Williamston reported a shoplifting incident in which a black male on a moped had dropped a phone out of his bag and stated that it was theirs. The clerks stated they did not know of anything else that was taken. Cpl. L. E. Mulz, Sgt./SRO L. D. Ritter investigated.

June 12 – Allen Bristol Shaw, 19, 910 Lakeside Dr,. Anderson was arrested for simple possession of marijuana after a vehicle was stopped on Anderson Dr. at Keys Dr. According to reports, Shaw was acting very nervous prompting a search of the vehicle. Reports state during the search, a quantity of marijuana “shake” was found in the carpet. Also inside Shaw’s left sock was a silver marijuana grinder and a quantity of marijuana. C. Whitfield, M. E. Simmons investigated.

June 12 – Gary Eugene Pletcher, 70, 303 Hardy St,. Williamston reported financial transaction card fraud in which three unauthorized charges were made on a debit card at four Williamston area stores. J. Rogers investigated.

June 13 – Jerry Steven Hammond, 62, 114 W Fourth St. Williamston reported $2,000 in cash taken from a bedroom closet. Forced entry was gained into the house by prying open a wooden door. R. Drennon investigated.

June 14 – Matthew Sterlind Sandefur, 26, 2310 B., Piedmont was arrested for petit larceny after Schwegs Hot Wieners, 2 Greenville Dr., reported that a donation jar had been taken by a black male with numerous tatoos and no shirt. The suspect was observed nearby entering a house on Market St. where he was arrested. J. Rogers investigated.

June 14 – Amanda Louree Reeves, 34, 201 Williamston Ct., reported 35 Lortab pills taken from her purse which was in the residence. Cpl. L. E. Mulz investigated.

June 15 – Mellissa Davenpiort Crowder, 44, 309 E. Carolina St., Williamston was arrested for public disorderly conduct after officers were dispatched to the area of 309 E. Carolina St., in reference to a black female cursing in the roadway. M. E. Simmons, C. Whitfield investigagted.

June 15 – Christopher Adam Buchanan, 33, 31 McAlister St. reported a 1998 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle stolen from the residence. The bike was recovered nearby at the corner of Academy St. and Parker St. where it was propped against a tree. C. Whitfield investigated.

June 14 – Joshua Dale Carter, 26, 115 W. First St,. Williamston reported two fishing rods valued at $100 taken from the porch. M. E. Simmons investigated.

June 17 – Chris Guthrie, 23, Town of Williamston reported a meter head taken off of a meter at 14 Academy Dr. causing $100 in damage. A. Eliopoulos investigated.

June 17 – Sharlene Dean, 45, 108 Market St, Wililamston reported a checkbook missing. A. Eliopoulos investigated.

June 16 – Jerry Allen Harper, Sr., 60, 101 W Fifth St, Williamston reported two bicycles valued at $75 and $125 were taken from the residence. A. Eliopoulos investigated.
