A Williamston man is facing five charges of peeping Tom and one count of criminal solicitation of a minor after being arrested in Horry County on July 25. According to police reports, Blake Randall Darby, 26, was arrested on Thursday, July 25 by Horry County police after five young men reported they were watched or propositioned while showering at Ocean Lakes Campground. According to reports, the victims were ages 11 to 22.

Horry County police charged Darby after officers responded to the popular Myrtle Beach campground concerning a person in custody who was suspected of peeping at young men inside one of the bathhouses.

Three of the victims told a security guard they saw Darby looking at them and that he propositioned one of the boys. Security guards told police they had received multiple complaints about a person peeping at men inside the bathhouse.

While officers were investigating the incident, two other victims told police that Darby attempted to record them with his cellphone. One of the victims told police he knocked the phone from Darby’s hand when he saw it hanging over a shower stall.

According to reports, Darby told police he owned a phone like the one described by one victim, but denied any knowledge of the other incidents and said he was in the bathhouse to use the restroom. The phone was seized by police as evidence.

Darby was released from the J. Reuben Long Detention Center in Horry County on $45,000 bail on July 27.
