The 16th annual Greater Williamston Business Association (GWBA) fall golf tournament will be held Friday, October 11 at Saluda Valley Country Club.

The tournament is a four person Captains Choice, shotgun start and costs $160 per team. This includes entry fee, cart, lunch and door prizes.

Mulligans and red tees will be available for purchase the day of the event. In addition to cash prizes for first, second and third place, there will be a hole-in-one opportunity to win a new 2012 Harley Davidson XL 1200V Sportster, $500 Prepaid Visa Card or a Kindle Fire.

Anyone interested in playing or sponsoring a team should turn in applications by October 4. Organizers are also looking for door prizes and hole sponsorships. Any local business is invited to participate.

Several sponsorships are available including a corporate sponsor, lunch sponsor, hole-in-one sponsor, beverage cart sponsor or tee/green sponsor. Sponsors will be recognized for their support on the GWBA Facebook page and website.

The GWBA is a non-profit association of businesses in the Williamston/Pelzer/West Pelzer/Anderson communities. The association strives to bring businesses together for purposes of networking, growth and giving back to the community.

All proceeds from golf tournament help fund various events throughout the year including the Annual Easter egg hunt, Boo in the Park, Party in the Park and Main Street Program.

These programs provide family friendly activities for area residents and promote the town as a “great place to live, work and play”.

If you are a local business, become a GWBA member! GWBA members have opportunities to keep their company name out in the community all year long and be part a great organization that’s committed to its members and community!
