The Piedmont Public Service District Board of Commisioners met Monday night and quickly ran through a brief agenda.

Commissioner Al McAbee reported that the fire department had answered twenty four medical calls in August, down slightly from July. They also responded to six structure fires, two grass fires, a vehicle fire and six motor vehicle accidents. So far this year, total responses are down by seventeen from last year.

Commissioner Lib Pack reported that the use of the community building had generated revenues of $185 but no income was produced by the ball fields.

Assistant Administrator Craig Lawless reported that approval for the funding needed to repave the lot beside the community building had been obtained.

Commissioner Rudy Rhodes opened the bids received for the heating and air conditioning upgrade for Station Two, which was built in 1981. The low bid of $4461, entered by Randy Hudson HVAC, of Pelzer, was accepted by the entire commission.

The next commission meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on October 21.
