Williamston Police Report

Williamston Police officers investigated the theft of a heating and air unit, a motorcycle and several drug related incidents. Among incidents investigated were the following:

Sept. 19 – Perry Johnson Oakley, Jr., 38, 107 L St., Williamston reported a 2005 GSXR600 Suzuki motorcycle taken from an open carport. The motorcycle was valued at $4000. Sgt. K. J. Winn investigated.

Sept. 18 – George Aaron McFalls, 24, 508 Mellwood Dr., Piedmont reported the theft of a heating and air unit from 102 Tripp St., Wililamston. The unit was valued at $3,000. Sgt. K. J. Winn investigated.

Sept. 22 – Billy Paul Smith, 24, 113 Estelle Dr., Williamston was issued a courtesy summons for possession of drug paraphernalia after a gold color Honda Accord was observed traveling at a high rate of speed on Greenville Dr. Reports state a glass pipe was found in a backpack in the vehicle. Sept. 20 – Kenneth James Kinsey, 59, 585 Griffin Rd., Belton was arrested for possession of illegal narcotics and outstanding warrants after a moped was observed on West Main St. with an unsecured item between the driver’s legs and large box tied to the back of the moped. Reports state officers found an eyeglass case containing three bags of a green leafy substance, one pill bottle wrapped in black electrical tape containing more green leafy substance and a small plastic baggy that contained a crystal-like substance, two syringe needles, two cotton swabs and a pack of JOB rolling papers. Sept. 20 Jennifer L. Craft, 28, 1212 Dickens Ave., Williamston was arrested for driving under suspension and failure to surrender tag after a blue Saturn was obsreved on West Man St, without headlights activated. J. Rogers, Cpl. L. E. Mulz investigated.

Sept. 21, Josh Douglas Pitts, 20, Square St,. Pelzer was arrested for open container in a vehicle after a white Ford Explorer was observed on Williams St, traveling at a high rate of speed. Reports state two orange Bud Light beer cans were found under the driver’s seat. Both were cold and had condensation on the outside of the cans. J. Rogers, Cpl. L. E. Mulz investigated.

Sept. 21 – J. C. Lewis, 68, 874 Greenville St., Pendleton was arrested for driving under the influence after officers were notified of a gold color van coming into town on SC Hwy. 20 with a possible intoxicated driver. The van was observed weaving, almost striking a telephone pole and mail box as the driver continued through town on Main St. M. E. Simmons, J. B. Sanders investigated.

Sept. 14 – Richard Bert Sanders, 251 Joe Black Road reported the theft of a fire pit from Mineral Spring Park. The item was valued at $79. J. B. Sanders investigated.

Sept. 4 – Terry Dean Frady, 2 McClellion St #A reported several unauthorized transactions made on a credit card. The purchases were made through two websites including $246.17 on perfumania.com and $277.99 for items purchased on www.thewatchery.com. There was also $549.95 transferred from another debit card to Frady’s debit card. M. E. Simmons investigated.
