Tony Barnhart, a writer for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution for 24 years and now a regular writer with the CBS Sports.com and a television and radio personality will be the guest speaker at the Anderson Area Touchdown Club meeting this Friday, Oct. 25.
Barnhart also has his own show, The Tony Barnhart Show, on the CBS Sports Network. He is a regular contributor to “College Football Today” show on CBS with Tim Brando and Spencer Tillman and a weekly panelist on “Talkin’ Football.”
“The Touchdown Club is fortunate to have Tony Barnhart for this Friday’s meeting,” said AATC President Bill Brissey. “Join us for a great meal and Coach Jim Fraser’s weekly jokes, and most importantly, the award presentation to last week’s outstanding high school players and coach.”
The meeting begins at 12 noon at the Anderson County Library, 300 N. McDuffie Street. The meal line opens at 11:30am. Visitors are welcome and the meal cost for visitors is $15. Call 226-7380 for reservations.

Week 7 (Oct. 11) honorees included: Coach: Paul Sutherland, Pendleton High School; Offensive: T.C. McCullough, Belton-Honea Path High School; Defensive: Darius Pickens, Pendleton High School; Lineman: Jordan Watson, Belton-Honea Path High School.
Recognized at the Week 6 (Oct. 4) meeting were: Co-Offensive – Charqez Daniel, Powdersville High School, Kelly Bryant, Wren High School; Defensive: Dalton Davis, Crescent High School; Lineman: Chris Mackey, Belton-Honea Path High School and Coach: Jeff Murdock, Crescent High School.
