Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents:

Oct. 27 – Leroy Michael Strickland, 45, 111 W. Third St., Williamston was arrested for outstanding warrant with Anderson City police department following a traffic stop at Mahaffey Rd., in Williamston. Sgt. C. Whitfield investigated.

Oct. 28 – Christopher Grover Rogers, 33, 207 McDonald Ave., Williamston was arrested for nuisance interfering with peace/comfort after officers were dispatched to a domestic incident at the residence. Sgt. C. Whitfield investigated.

Nov. 2 – Officers recovered a stolen moped after observing it traveling south on Gossett Dr. and failing to stop at a stop sign at Gossett Dr. and First St. The driver, Timothy Joseph McCarson, 34, 514 Hammond Rd., Belton had no paperwork for the moped and stated he had just bought it three days earlier from a pawn shop in Greenville County. The black Honda moped was listed with NCIC as stolen and was valued at $1000. The incident remains under investigation. M. E. Simmons investigated.

Nov. 2 – Jeremiah Johnston Holdbrooks, 29, 410 Osteen Hill Rd., Piedmont was arrested for possession of a stolen handgun following a traffic stop on a vehicle suspected of being involved in another incident the department was investigating at the time. Two guns were found in the vehicle, a .32 calibre Echasa and a 9MM Ruger which was reported stolen in Easley. The Ruger was valued at $500. Sgt. C Whitfield investigated.

Alvin Lee Colbert, Jr., 48, 19 Parker St,. Williamston was arrested for an outstanding warrant for violation of order of protection which had not been paid. Colbert was located and detained by the Belton Police Department before being brought back to Williamston where the warrant was served. J. B. Sanders investigated.
