Christian Men United in Prayer sponsored their annual Thanksgiving Meal Project last Wednesday. The group with the help of volunteers were able to provide Thanksgiving meals for 224 area families. Due to the cold weather, turkeys were deep fried and meals put together at the Williamston First Baptist Church facilities instead of Williamston’s Mineral Spring Park.

Area churches that helped with the project include: Pelzer Methodist, Grace Methodist, On a Mission for God, White Plains, Beaverdam, Cedar Grove, West Pelzer Baptist, Whitefield Baptist, Trinity Baptist, New Hope Baptist, Pelzer First Baptist, Hillcrest Baptist, Calvary Baptist, Big Creek Baptist, Rehoboth, Tabernacle Baptist and Open Door Church.

Many people and organizations also participated, organizers said.
