The Town of Williamston is making plans for inclement weather expected Tuesday afternoon. Williamston Mayor Mack Durham said that if the weather develops as predicted, the Town of Williamston Administrative personnel will be dismissed early.

If there is need for assistance, the public should call 911 for emergency needs and 260-4444 for non-emergent needs. Police force and work crews will be available to give local assistance as needed and as we can safely address these needs, Mayor Durham said.

Closing information is also being posted on the Town of Williamston Facebook page and website.

“Please stay safe and enjoy the snow, if we actually get some,” the mayor said. “As always, if you have any questions or concerns please call me at 617-5097.”

State government offices and their employees will follow the same winter weather hazard decisions made by the county government officials where the state office is located. For example, if county officials decide to delay the opening or close county government offices, that would mean state offices in the impacted county would follow the same schedule.

A complete list of the status of all state offices is listed by county on SCEMD’s website, scemd.org/closings.
