Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents:

Feb. 25 – Todd Ezekial Burris, 205 River Dr., Williamston was arrested for public disorderly conduct after officers responded to t he Williamston Rescue Squad, 902 Anderson Drive. According to reports, Burris was being loud and belligerent while sitting in a vehicle parked in a public parking lot at the building. Sgt. K. J. Winn investigated.

Feb. 28 – Morgan T. Abrams, 38, 112 Windfield Hill Rd., Williamston was arrested for possession of cocaine, disorderly conduct and SC drivers license after a Dodge pickup truck was observed on E. Greenville Dr. with no headlights on.

Reports state while enroute to the Anderson County Detention Center, Abrams removed his seatbelt and became combative. When the officer pulled over to secure Abrams in his seat belt he stuck his foot out of the patrol car and refused to put it back in, resulting in the officer eventually tazing him. While being processed by detention officers, a white substance field tested as cocaine was found in his wallet. R. Drennon investigated.

Mar. 3 – Thane Shearl Steele, 54, 803 Tripp St., Williamston was issued a courtesy summons for driving under suspension after a white Kia was observed with an incorrect tag. Capt. K. Marsee investigated.

Mar. 3 – Chad Alan Hawhorne, 27, 500 Moore Rd,. Piedmontand Stephanie Ann Hawthorne, 25, of the same address were arrested. Reports state charges are for possession of drug paraphernalia and open container. No additional information given. J. Rogers investigated.

Mar. 3 – Michael Brandon Saylers reported someone attempted to break in and enter Main Street Motors, Hwy. 20 Williamston. Reports state there was damage to a side door of he building and several items were taken from behind the business including two cameras valued at $600. Additional vehicle parts including brake rotors, hubs and radiators valued at $150 and fishing rods and reels valued at $30 were also reported missing. M. E. Simmons investigated.

Feb. 21 – Dena Michelle Chastain, 41, 107 Belton Dr., Williamston reported someone forced entry into an outbuilding on the property and removed a TroyBilt self propelled push lawn mower valued at $200.Forced entry was gained by prying open a door. Sgt. K. J. Winn investigated.

Feb. 23 – Mark Brandon Hampton, 23, 223 Johnson Ln. Greenville was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, improper display of tag and driving under suspension after a vehicle was observed on Main St. without a SC tag displayed. Reports state a clear baggie containing 3.7 grams of meth was found between the drivers seat and the console. A passenger in the vehicle, Kaleb David Gray, 20, 321 Woodruff St., Woodruff was also arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine because neither would claim ownership of the meth. Cpl. Feb. 22 – Tonya Gwennett Smith, 23 Spring St., Williamston reported someone broke into her Ford Expedition and removed three cell phone chargers, a box of shoes and a pair of ear buds for an iPhone. The items were valued at $170. M. E. Simmons investigated.

Feb. 23 – Jeffrey Dean Cook, 20, 115 Edgewood Dr., Williamston was issued a courtesy summons for operating an uninsured vehicle after a silver Chevrolet Impala was stopped because the license plate was registered to a 1994 Honda Civic. M. E. Simmons investigated.
