April 14th begins Spring Break for Greenville County students. This will result in a higher number of inexperienced younger drivers on the roadways.
Beginning this week, the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting a traffic enforcement blitz that is focused on impaired drivers and individuals not wearing their seatbelt.
According the most recent data, there have been 20 traffic fatalities so far in Greenville County this year. 62% of those fatalities were a result of the occupant not wearing their seat belt. This blitz will continue throughout the summer in an effort to drastically reduce the high percentage of lives lost in motor vehicle collisions.
