Farmers market starts season

The Palmetto Farmers Market kicks off the season with a special event in Mineral Spring Park on April 24 from 4-7PM. This special event will feature plant, seed and worm casting businesses, in addition to regular farmers market vendors.

Vendors include Happy Critters Ranch (pork), Carolina Grassfed Beef (soap and eggs; beef in June), Hannah and Christen’s Honey, Touch the Earth Aromatics (essential oil products), Bio-Way Farm (produce and plants), Putney Farm (eggs), Possum Kingdom Kreamery (goat milk and cheese), Barn Yard Goodies (homemade SCDA-tested dog treats), ACTC culinary students (bagels, muffins and banana bread), Henson Farm (plants: muscadines, ginger plants, Jerusalem artichokes, asparagus, berry bushes and figs), Appalachian Organics (worm castings; natural fertilizers, weed control and insect control products), Heavenly Seed, Harp & Shamrock Croft (transplants) and Mushroom Mountain (mushroom growing kits).

Your Hometown Farm (hydroponically-grown tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers and peppers) and Early Bird Farm (produce, nuts, eggs) will join the market in May.
