Party in the Park returns May 23

The first of three Party in the Park Music Series events being planned by the Greater Williamton Business Association (GWBA) this year will be held next Friday, May 23 at 6 p.m.

The free event will feature live music by upstate performers the Anna Leigh Band and Carolina Rhythm Section. There will be activities for young children including three large inflatables and the park play ground will be open. There will also be free face painting.

Local businesses will be offering food and the GWBA will have drinks. GWBA member businesses will also have display tables with information promoting their business.

The GWBA is organizing the event to promote local businesses and provide a fun, family oriented event in Williamston’s Mineral Spring Park. Sponsors include: All About Fabirds (Phoenix of Anderson), H&R Block, First Citizens Bank, Cox & Cole Attorneys, Fiesta Mexican Restaurant and The Town of Williamston..

Other Party in the Park events are being planned for June 6, and August 2. Nashville recording artist Benton Blount will be featured in June and Millstar recording artist Outshyne in August.

The GWBA is also sponsoring entertainment for the town’s Freedoim Celebration and fireworks on July 5. Jukebox 45 will be the featured band for that event which will include a cruise-in sponsored by the Williamston Fire Department and McDonalds, food and entertainment and fireworks.
