Lockdown lifted at Powdersville schools

Update – According to Anderson School District One Superintendent David Havird, the lockdown in place at four Powdersville area schools has been lifted after Sheriff’s Deputies investigating a possible armed robbery determined that the situation was only a disagreement about a gas card and was not a robbery.

Four Anderson School District One Schools are on lockdown in the Powdersville area due to an armed robbery at the Spinx gas station on Hwy. 153 Wednesday morning. Concrete Primary, Powdersville Elemntary, Powdersville Middle and Powdersville High are on lockdown officials said. We will update as information becomes available.
