ROY RHODES
PIEDMONT – Roy Marion Rhodes, 70, of Piedmont, died Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at his home.
Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Clyde Marion and Sara Rhodes. A veteran of the U. S. Navy, he was the owner and operator of Rhodes Body Shop and a member of Southside Baptist Church in Piedmont.
Surviving are daughter, Chrissy Freeman (Steven), of West Pelzer; brothers, Rudy Rhodes, of Piedmont, and Earl Rhodes (Celia), of Simpsonville; sisters, Judy Garrison (Charles), of Piedmont, and Joan Chandler, of Belton; grandchildren, Hunter Rhodes and Jackson Freeman, who is due in October; and special friends, Jane Jones and Jeff Potts of Williamston.
He was predeceased by a brother, Jack Rhodes.
Visitation was 7-9 pm Friday at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. The funeral service was held at 11 am Saturday at the funeral home chapel with burial following at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the home of his daughter, Chrissy Freeman, 37 Spring Street, West Pelzer.

PEGGY SUE CAMPBELL
BELTON—Peggy Sue Dickson Campbell, 65, widow of Clyde S. Campbell, died Tuesday, June 3, 2014.
Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Hugh Edward and Margaret Eaton Dickson.
She was formerly employed with Anderson Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Honea Path Church of God.
She is survived by son Brian Keith Campbell (Ivonne) of Madison, AL and daughter Susan Kimberly Ortega(Ozzie) of Walhalla, SC; seven grandchildren; sisters, Laura Lequire of Williamston, Lynn Haning of Pelzer, brother, Steve Dickson of Greenville.
She was preceded in death by a brother, James Dickson.
Visitation was held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Honea Path Church of God.
The funeral service followed at 2:00 p.m. at the church.  Burial was held at the Garden of Memories.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 3535 Pelham Road, Suite 101, Greenville, SC 29615.
The family is at the home.

JAMIE SCOTT FULBRIGHT
Jamie Scott Fulbright, 24, died Monday, June 2, 2014.
Born in Greenville, he was a son of Scott Robert and Cindy Michelle Jones Fulbright. He was employed with 183 Recycling in Dacusville.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Jacob Scott Fulbright of the home; grandparents, Charles and Nora Jones of Williamston.
Funeral service was held Sunday in the funeral home chapel of Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. Burial followed in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

CHARLES B. RAINEY, JR.
PELZER – Charles Benjamin Rainey, Jr., 73, husband of Gloria Jean Howington Rainey passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014.
He was the son of the late Charles Benjamin, Sr. and Lila Mae Pryor Rainey.  He was retired from Michelin Tire.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are daughter, Elizabeth Rena Bright of Greenville; sons, Kenneth E. Bright (Casey), Charles Benjamin Rainey, III, Kenneth Wayne Rainey (Cheryl), all of Pelzer; grandchildren, Terra Dicken, Bailey Brock, K.J. Rainey, Makensie Bright, Kenny Lee Bright, Sydney Rainey, Conner Rainey, Carson Rainey; great-grandchildren, Aidyn, Aldyn, Talyn Dicken; niece, Becky Wardlaw.
A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Thursday at Agape Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends following the service.

LEONARD LEE ANDREWS
Leonard Lee “Andy” Andrews, 77, of Piedmont, died June 6, 2014.
He was born in Gastonia, NC and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He retired from Cryovac.
He was predeceased by his parents, Grealie and Myrtle Andrews.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Andrews; brother, GA Andrews; children, Cindy Caygle, Scott Andrews, Becki White, David Andrews; 21 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 9 at CSSC – Westville Funerals. Interment followed at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

ARLETHA COKER
HONEA PATH – Arletha Gaynell MaGaha Coker, 88, widow of James Ellis Coker, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014.
Born in Cocke County, TN, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Lettie MaGaha.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dry Oak Assembly of God, 1644 Holiday Dam Rd., Belton, SC 29627.
The family members are at their respective homes.

ANNE MORRIS  DUNHAM
Anne Morris Dunham, 79, wife of Robert J. Dunham, died Wednesday, June 4, 2014.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, she retired as a sales manager.
She is survived by daughters, Betsy Lamontagne of Powdersville, and Jennifer Lynn Parker of Easley; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, Richard A. and Anna McKeon Morris.
Rosary was held Sunday, June 8 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown.
Funeral service was held Monday, June 9 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church.

JACKIE R. WHITTED
Jackie R. Whitted is survived by his parents, Schely and Georgia Whitted of Hillsboro, NC; wife, Rev. Ruth Whitted of the home; daughter, Jackquline Whitted of Southhill, MI; stepdaughters, Angela Walker of Silver Springs, MD, and Wanda Madison of Washington, DC; sister, Robena Whitted of Hillsboro, NC, Laurence Whitted of Hillsboro-Durham, NC; and Joe Whitted of Miami, FL.
A memorial service was held Monday, June 9 at Mt. Sinai AME Church in Bradley.
The family is at 2213 Easley Hwy., Piedmont.

REV. SYLVESTER GOLDEN SR.
The Rev. Sylvester Golden Sr. died Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
He was the son of the late John Wesley Golden and Mary J. Golden.
He served as pastor of Mount Able Baptist Church in Anderson, Golden Temple Baptist, Paris Community, Greenvile, and Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Fountain Inn. He founded Golden View Baptist Church in Fountain Inn and Piedmont Manor Baptist Church in Greenville.
Surviving are two daughters, Margaret Thomason of Pelzer and Shirley Golden of Greenville; two sons, Sylvester Golden and David Timothy Golden, both of Greenville; five grandchildren; three sisters, Grace Stewart of Greenville, Mary Jean Douglas Parham of New York, and Clara Johnson of Patterson, NJ; four brothers, Marshall Golden and Pelham Golden, both of Florida, and Elbert Golden and George Golden, both of Greenville.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marcell M. Golden.
Funeral service was held Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Springfield Baptist Church. Burial followed in New Bethlehem Church Cemetery, Princeton.

SARAH WILLIAMS McGEE
Sarah Crowe Williams McGee, 93, of Piedmont, widow of J. C. Williams and Carl F. McGee, died June 9, 2014.
Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late James Welford and Nina Kay Crowe. She retired from J. P. Stevens, Piedmont Plant and was a member of Piedmont Heights Baptist Church.
Surviving are son, Harold Williams of Piedmont; step-daughters, Chris Byers  and Frances Hurley, both of Laurens, and Peggy Griffin of Pauline; and more than 60 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Wednesday, June 11 at Piedmont Heights Baptist Church. Burial followed at Rose Hill Cemetery.

JIM FOSSETT
James “Jim” Griffith Fossett, 89, of Piedmont, widower of Ruby Leona Galloway Fossett, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville.
Born in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late Lyman M. and Lena Stalnaker Fossett. He retired from J. P. Stevens, Piedmont Plant, and was a member of the Piedmont Church of God of Prophecy.
Surviving are daughters, Barbara Springfield of Greenville, Phyllis Davis of Piedmont, and Margaret Keenan of Easley; brothers, Ray Fossett and Angil Fossett, all of Piedmont; five grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 11 am Thursday, June 12 at the Piedmont Church of God of Prophecy with burial following at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
Family members are at their respective homes.
