Carol Annette Watkins, 48, of Anderson was fatally injured in a moped accident on U. S. Hwy. 29 near Whitten Rd. on Saturday. Watkins died from blunt force trauma after the moped she was driving crossed the centerline and struck a Nissan Armada, according to Anderson County Deputy Deputy Coroner Don McCown. Alcohol may have been a factor in the accident, according to McCown.
