Two charged in REWA carjacking incident

Two people have been charged in connection with the armed carjacking of two REWA employees on May 27. According to reports, while at 130 Lakeside Road, two REWA employees were approached by a man and woman armed with a firearm who then stole the company truck. The thieves fled the area in the stolen REWA truck which was recovered in Adnerson County shortly after the theft.

Joshua Steven Sanchez and Amanda Marie Ayers have been charged in connection with this incident. Sanchez has been arrested and is currently being held in the Greenville County Detention Center on a $40,000 bond. Investigators are asking the public to assist in locating Amanda Marie Ayers who has active warrants at this time. Sanchez and Ayers are charged with car jacking, two counts of armed robbery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Investigators ask anyone who may have information regarding the whereabouts of Amanda Marie Ayers to call Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME.
