The Anderson County Democratic Party will sponsor its 9th Annual Bar-B-Q and Rally this Saturday, July 12 beginning at 5 p.m. The event will be held at the Anderson Arts Center at 110 Federal Street in Anderson.
“We have a 9 year tradition of meeting in July to socialize and hear from our candidates,” said Stuart Prague.
The 3rd Congressional District Caucus will meet at 4 p.m. At 5 p.m. there will be food and speeches.
Democratic candidate for governor, Vincent Sheheen is expected to attend. Other statewide and local candidates have also been invited.
“This has been one of the highlights of our year for some time,” Sprague said. “ All interested persons are invited to come.”
