East Church Road closure
The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) along with S & S Construction, Inc. of Anderson are improving the intersection of SC-8 with East Church Road, St. Paul Road and Three and Twenty Road. As part of the improvement process, East Church Road will be closed from SC-8 to Cynthia Lane.
SCDOT anticipates the road to be closed from October 1 until December 5, barring any unforeseen delays. The road is to be closed in order to make necessary elevation changes.
The proposed detour route is Cynthia Lane, Johnson Road, and SC-8 with an overall travel length of 1.1 miles.
