Powdersville
The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office will offer a free Self-Defense Seminar for residents of the Powdersville area on Nov. 1 at Marathon Church, 315 Roe Road in Powdersville. There is no cost to attend the seminar but prior registration is required.

The seminar will be conducted by Captain Don Brookshire of the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office from 10 a.m to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1. Participants must register in advance. Space is limited and on a first come, first served basis.
Anderson County Sheriff John Skipper said he plans to offer additional seminars in other parts of the county in the near future.
