TIM DAVIS

Phillip “Tim” Leroy Davis, 61, Piedmont, died Wednesday, September 17, 2014.

Born in Piedmont, he was the son of the late Carl “Pete” Leroy and Mildred Moss Davis. He was formerly employed as an Electric Engineer with 3M and of the Baptist faith.

Graveside service was held  Saturday, September 20 at Rosehill Cemetery, Piedmont.

DONNA HALL

Donna Rhodes Hall, 51, of Pelzer, wife of Guy Edwin “Eddie” Hall, died Tuesday, September 16, 2014.

Born in Williamston, she was a daughter of Marion Wesley Rhodes and the late Doris Seawright Rhodes.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Eddie Hall of Anderson, Ryan Hall  and Adam Hall of Williamston; sister, Pam Murphy  of Anderson; brothers, Jimmy Rhodes and Alan Rhodes of Williamston; eight grandchildren.

A graveside service was held Saturday, September 20 at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

DALE C. FEDOR, SR

Dale Charles Fedor, Sr., 63, of Simpsonville, husband of Kathy Blanchard Fedor, died Tuesday, September 16, 2014.

Born in Ravenna, OH, he was a son of the late John and Norma Frost Fedor.  He was formerly employed with Bennett Equipment in Piedmont.

He was a member of Washington Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are son, Dale Charles Fedor, Jr. of Pelzer; daughter, Renee Croft of Fountain Inn; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral service was held Friday at Washington Baptist Church.

A committal service was held Saturday at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

J. LEO LEGERE

J. Leo Legere, 86, of Piedmont, died Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville.

Born in Chisholm, ME, he was the son of Albany Legere and the late Madeline (Richard) Legere.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and Naval Reserve and U.S. Air Force. He retired from the N.S.A.

He is survived by his wife Norma L. Legere of Piedmont; three sons, Duane L. Legere of Cuba, Kevin A. Legere of South Carolina, Brent J. Legere of MD; three daughters, Sandra I. Legere and Robyn M. Legere, both of MD and Traci L. Bouis of WV; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Eddy Legere of ME, Norman Legere of ME, Louis Legere of CA, Richard Legere of TX, Fidele Legere of IN and Daniel Legere of TN: sisters, Eva Davanport of TN and Julie Smith of ME.

A memorial service was held Saturday, Sept. 20 at Grace Episcopal Church in Anderson. Interment was held at Arlington National Cemetery in VA.

PARNIECE BROWN ALLEN

Parniece Brown Allen, widow of Ralph Wilburn “Shag” Allen, died Monday, September 22, 2014 at Martha Franks Retirement Center.

Born in Starr, she was the daughter of the late Bevan Wood and Nelle Smith Brown.

She retired from Wren High School and was a member of Piedmont Presbyterian Church and later attended Piedmont Wesleyan Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Carol Allen Martin of Clinton and Parniece Brown “Brownie” Allen Foster of Williamston; two grandchildren; and a brother, Bevan W. Brown, Jr. of Knoxville, TN.

A committal service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 3:30 at Sullivan-King Mortuary Chapel. The family will receive friends at the mortuary following the service. Family members are at their respective homes.

ANNETTE COX

Annette Brewer Proffitt Cox, 92, of Pelzer, died Tuesday, September 23, 2014.

She was twice married, first to the late Paul Evans Proffitt, Sr. and then to the late William Truman Cox.

Born in Lanett, AL, she was a daughter of the late William Henry Brewer, Sr. and Jessie Pennington Brewer. She retired from Myers Arnold/Uptons Department Store. She was a charter member of West Pelzer Baptist Church.

Survivors are son, Paul Evans Proffitt, Jr. of Irmo; brother, William H. Brewer, Jr. of Pompano Beach, FL; two grandchildren; and four great-granddaughters.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 25 at West Pelzer Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
